Do get paid if I am injured at work?

Getting paid after a workplace injury is one of the main client concerns that we encounter on a daily basis.

This all depends on your employer.  There is a myth that if you are injured at work and you are off work, then your employer must pay your wages.  This is simply not true. Under Irish law employers have no duty to pay the wages of employees who are off work as a result of a workplace injury.

Some decent and caring employers will pay wages while an employee if off.  Others will not, and do not have to.
